Brothers.
Tonight, Willie made a post in our small group Facebook group, asking if our small group could meet up one last time before the end of the semester. He said he had something he wanted to tell us.
We all enthusiastically said yes, and then tried figuring out what day would work best this week. The suggestions weren’t working at first. Then Jeremy says, “TONIGHT.”
And then a couple minutes later, we decided to meet at that moment.
We contact all our guys. All of us are spread throughout Jester except for Nathan and Justin. Nathan was in West Campus, and Justin was at home (he commutes).
About 30 minutes later, we all find ourselves sitting in Jeremy’s room, ready to listen to Willie.
It’s finals week.
A brother needs some help.
Our whole small group shows up, despite the distance we have to go, despite ridiculously cold weather, despite the finals some of us have tomorrow.
This is what my small group has become: a family of brothers, always there for each other, ready to help each other in whatever he needs help with.
I’ve never had anything like this before. Such a blessing.
